Give a curious kid (aged 11-14) a week they’ll never forget. Mornings in the Boatshop learning real hand-tool skills and shaping a wooden paddle. Afternoons on the water paddling outrigger canoes and rowboats at Berkeley’s Aquatic Park or the South Sailing Basin next to Cal Sailing, with occasional weather-dependent field trips to spots like the SF Maritime Museum.

This camp blends craftsmanship and seamanship. Students start with our signature paddle project to learn essential woodworking techniques, then take those skills out on the Bay, building confidence, teamwork, and a love for maritime tradition.
